Claire E. Hurst obtained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she was on the Dean’s Honor List. She received the Paul Miller Scholarship Award as well as the Ahmanson Foundation Scholarship Award. Attorney Hurst externed for the Honorable Richard Fruin for the Los Angeles Superior Court during her time at Loyola. Attorney Hurst also externed as in-house counsel for a large Santa Monica based corporation and for various non-profits in the Southern California area.
Attorney Hurst obtained her undergraduate degree in English from the University of California, Irvine. She also received her Master of Legal and Forensic Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, where she broadened her knowledge of the connection between psychology and legal issues and was first in her graduating class.
Attorney Hurst practiced in Los Angeles before moving to the Inland Empire to practice family law. She is admitted to practice in every California state court. She is a member of both the San Bernardino County Bar Association and the Riverside County Bar Association.
Attorney Hurst has worked exclusively on cases involving family law and related issues such as divorce, nonmarital relationships and paternity, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, division of assets, and domestic violence restraining orders since joining The Law Office of Michael R. Young, APC. She has a passion for zealous advocacy for her clients and understands how to align her clients’ expectations and goals with the law and legal system.
